The prompt over at WordsmithStudio.org this week is Black and White.
Black and White photography is not one of my favorites. I love bright, colorful photos. But, sometimes it’s fun to see the contrast in pictures when you take all those colors out. It’s amazing what all those different shades grey can convey. Here’s my contribution. You should check out the prompt and show me yours.
Love and Photo Fun!!

Great! I like it very much!
Thank you.
Beautifully done. I see you also used the Rule of Thirds, which is very effective in this case. And the background is nicely blurred. Good bokeh. Color sometimes distracts us. This birdhouse is perfect in B&W.
Thank you, Jennifer. I’ve been trying to improve my craft. It feels great to hear your input.
Lovely photo Becca. 🙂 You know what I miss so much? I miss taking real film and my father’s Leica, (which I dropped on the Heathrow cement floor without a scratch), and shooting and developing that real film. I miss that. Can you even buy real film these days? Oh, and I miss polaroids. I think I’ll look into it. 🙂
I actually love B&W photography, sometimes better than color.. You did a great job with this photo.
Thanks. I think you have to have a stronger composition to make up for the lack of colors. Maybe that’s why I don’t like it as well, lol.
Great photo, Becca. I enjoyed that you used several “tools of the trade” to create this picture.
